When we love something, we want to share the characteristics of the object of our enchantment with everyone.
More than just a wine bar, Tatiana and Alexey, the owners of Arco das Verdades, wanted to pay homage to the city of Porto, as the place where Arco das Verdades is located, and a place of the genesis of the city.
This couple acts as curators of flavors and road guides for those visiting Arco das Verdades and Porto.
Located in a historic area of downtown Porto, surrounded by monuments of great symbolism, the logo represents this historical richness. We were then inspired by the obvious elements:
- the "Arco das Verdades" - a construction from 1890, which gives its name and is part of the architecture of the space;
- the stairs that we have to overcome to get there, whether going up (120 steps) or going down (38 steps); there is no other way to get there;
- the window with view over Ribeira do Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia - the main attraction of the space, besides the wines, of course;
- the D. Luis bridge - the city's ex-libris;
- the stained glass windows of the Cathedral;
- and of course, the glass of wine, because we're talking about a wine bar.
The logo fulfills the function of telling the story of the space, and the colors link the various wine regions in Portugal. The visual identity was built from the colors and elements of the logo, strong enough to create its own narrative, thus achieving a distinctive, sophisticated and vibrant identity.
